Product Introduction: 

This is a 16-channel relay expansion card from Vibro-Meter (now Meggitt), a Swiss manufacturer, specifically designed for the VM600 generator set vibration protection system. It is compatible with the ABE04x series system racks. It natively works with the MPC4 and AMC8 monitoring motherboards. When the 4 built-in alarm relays of the IOC4T/IOC8T are insufficient, it provides expansion output for over-limit vibration interlocking tripping and audible/visual alarm outputs for turbine generators, wind turbines, and compressors. It complies with API670 generator set protection specifications.


Distinguishing between two part numbers:


200-570-000-111: Standard industrial version, no functional safety rating


200-570-101-015: SIL2 functional safety certified model, meets IEC61508, standard configuration for key thermal power/nuclear power/petrochemical units


Hardware contact parameters:

Single channel uses SPDT single-pole double-throw changeover contact, single-channel terminal with 3 wiring positions (common, normally open, normally closed), totaling 16 independent relays


Contact load: AC 250VAC 5A; DC 300VDC 0.35A

Mechanical life ≥ 100,000 cycles; Onboard hardware jumpers select between constant excitation NE and de-excitation NDE drive logics, with adjustable inverting hardware

System Linkage and Functions: Relays are driven by logic commands issued from the MPC4 vibration protection module and AMC8 status monitoring module.

In case of vibration overspeed, shaft vibration, bearing vibration, axial displacement, or oil temperature exceeding the limit, the corresponding channel relay will activate, connecting to an external stop circuit, alarm indicator light, and DCS passive switch points. Built-in onboard self-test BIST; in case of system failure, the safety line is uniformly switched to a safe state, SIL. This version can participate in the unit's safety interlock circuit. Typical application scenarios: online vibration protection systems for thermal power turbine generator sets, gas turbines, large air compressors, marine main diesel engines, and refining turbine units.
