The CPUM 200-595-0SS-33H is the central processing/rack control module from VIBRO-METER (VM600 series) in Switzerland. It provides online vibration monitoring, condition analysis, and safety protection for large rotating machinery (steam turbines, gas turbines, compressors, pumps, generators, etc.), serving as the core brain of the VM600 system.
Core Positioning and System Role: As the central controller for the VM600 rack, it centrally manages I/O modules such as MPC4 protection cards, XMV16 condition monitoring cards, and AMC8 analog cards, and can manage up to 16 expansion modules.
It is responsible for vibration/speed signal acquisition, digital filtering, spectrum analysis, order tracking, alarm/shutdown logic, data storage, and communication, achieving a closed-loop process from monitoring to protection.
It provides dual modes of local display and remote communication, supporting on-site commissioning and integration with DCS/PLC/senior monitoring systems.
Key Functions and Features
Multi-parameter Monitoring: Supports real-time acquisition and calculation of key parameters such as vibration (displacement/velocity/acceleration), rotational speed, phase, bearing temperature, and axial position.
Intelligent Signal Processing: Built-in digital filtering, FFT spectrum analysis, envelope demodulation, and order tracking accurately identify typical faults such as imbalance, misalignment, looseness, bearing failure, and oil film eddy.
Multi-level Protection Logic: Supports three threshold levels: early warning, alarm, and dangerous shutdown. Configurable delay, interlocking, and locking mechanisms meet IEC 61508 SIL 2 safety standards.
Dual Redundancy and Reliability: Supports dual CPUM redundancy switching, critical channel redundancy, wide-temperature range, and EMI-resistant design, suitable for harsh industrial environments such as power plants, oil and gas plants, and petrochemical plants.
Local Operation Interface: The front panel features a display screen and buttons, allowing real-time viewing of vibration values, rotational speed, and alarm status. Supports on-site parameter tuning and fault querying.
Hardware and Interfaces (200-595-0SS-33H)
Power Supply: 18–32 VDC (typical 24 VDC), wide voltage compatibility.
Communication Interfaces: 2×RJ45 Ethernet (Modbus TCP, PROFINET); 1×RS-485 (Modbus RTU); 1×USB 2.0 (configuration/firmware upgrade); 1×synchronization port.
Signal Channels: 4 dynamic vibration channels, 2 speed (MPU/proximity switch) channels, supporting multi-point synchronous monitoring.
I/O Expansion: Connects to MPC4, XMV16, AMC8, and other modules via rack bus for flexible expansion of monitoring points.
Physical Specifications: 35mm DIN rail / 19-inch rack mount (3U height); dimensions approx. 132×140×185 mm; weight approx. 1.2 kg.
Environment: Operating temperature -40°C to +70°C; humidity 0–95% non-condensing; CE, ATEX, SIL 2 certified.
Typical Applications:
Power Generation: Vibration protection for steam turbine generator sets, gas turbine generator sets, and hydro turbine generator sets.
Oil & Gas: Centrifugal compressors, reciprocating compressors, pump sets, and gas turbine-driven compressor sets.
Petrochemical: Large fans, pumps, turbine expanders, and reactor drive equipment.
Industry: Key rotating machinery such as metallurgical rolling mills, paper machines, and marine propulsion systems.
