Woodward 5437-1125 MicroNet System IO Control Module
Belonging to the Woodward MicroNet Plus turbine/generator control system, the 5437 series is a rack-mounted, plug-in field I/O control card, used with system racks 5437-843/5437-844. It is primarily used for speed regulation and interlocking data acquisition and control of gas turbines, diesel generator sets, and steam turbine auxiliary equipment.
I. Power Supply and Environmental Parameters
Operating Power Supply: DC24V (18~32VDC wide voltage input), single card full load power consumption ≤13W, built-in reverse connection, surge, and overcurrent hardware protection;
Temperature and Humidity: Operating -40℃~+70℃, storage and transportation -55℃~+85℃, humidity 5%~95% non-condensing, meeting the operating conditions of power plants and petrochemical high-temperature cabinets;
Installation: Standard backplate slot hot-swappable structure, centralized rack mounting, no separate rail fixing required.
II. Hardware I/O Resource Configuration
Digital Channels
* **Digital Input (DI):** 16 isolated passive digital inputs, 24VDC loop sampling, used for local valve feedback, start/stop commands, and fault contact acquisition.
* **Relay Output (DO):** 12 C-type programmable relay outputs, contacts rated for 250VAC/5A resistive load, used for solenoid valves, trip circuits, and alarm indicator drive; each channel is independently isolated.
* **Analog Input (AI):** 8 isolated analog inputs, compatible with 4-20mA, 0-5VDC, for acquiring pressure, oil temperature, exhaust temperature, and speed transmission signals.
* **Analog Input (AO):** 4 active 4-20mA analog outputs, for connecting to local meters or DCS transmitters, controlling actuators and speed servo references.
III. Communication and System Bus
Onboard MicroNet internal high-speed backplane bus for real-time data exchange with the CPU main control card;
Extended Communication: Optional RS485 Modbus-RTU for uploading measurement point data to external third-party PLC/SCADA; Panel LED status indicators: power, bus communication, channel fault, and alarm indication.
IV. Core Functions
Local signal filtering, engineering range conversion, and disconnection self-test (AI open/short circuit, DI circuit disconnection); single-channel fault interlocking does not affect overall card operation;
Local simplified logic configuration: interlocking, delayed start/stop, high/low limit alarm output; some logic does not require main control program issuance;
Event caching: stores time-stamped records of channel over-limit and hardware faults for easy fault tracing; supports online parameter modification and single-channel maintenance bypass.
V. Typical Application Scenarios Gas engine generator sets, small gas turbines, diesel power stations, and compressor unit speed control systems; used as field signal acquisition and drive expansion cards for the main control system; compatible spare parts in the same series: 5437-1119, 5437-1124, etc.
