K-Tron KCM-2 Control Module

K-Tron KCM-2 is a high-precision process control module produced by K-Tron (a subsidiary of Sartorius Group, a global leader in bulk solids handling solutions) and is mainly used in industrial material handling and weighing systems. The specific introduction is as follows:

Functional features: As the core controller of gravity and volumetric feeding systems, it can process signals from field devices such as weighing sensors and speed sensors, calculate material throughput, and accurately control feeding operations. Supports control algorithms such as PID control, adaptive filtering, and weight loss compensation, and can dynamically adjust the feeder speed to maintain the target flow rate.

Communication capabilities: Supports communication protocols such as Modbus TCP, Ethernet/IP, RS-485 (Modbus RTU), and can be integrated with PLC, HMI and DCS systems. It can run independently or as part of a large automation network.

Hardware specifications: It adopts a 19-inch rack installation method, with dimensions of 178mm (width) × 102mm (height) × 254mm (depth), and weighs about 1.5kg. The power supply is 24VDC±10%, with 4 analog input channels (0-10VDC/4-20mA), 8 digital input channels, 2 analog output channels (0-10VDC/4-20mA) and 6 digital output channels (relay/solid state).

Design: Equipped with a color LCD display and an intuitive keypad for on-site configuration and diagnosis, basic settings can be performed without external software.

Working environment: The enclosure protection level reaches IP65, which is dustproof and waterproof. With a metal housing and conformal-coated PCB, it can work stably in the temperature range of -20℃ to +60℃, can withstand high humidity, dust and vibration, and complies with EMC standards (EN 61326-1).
