Bently Nevada 2300/25-00 (2300-25) Dual-Channel Vibration Condition Monitor

The Bently 2300 series is a compact rack-mount vibration monitoring module for power plants. The 2300/25 model comes standard with a SPA bus interface, allowing connection to the System1 online diagnostic system. Unlike the 2300/20 model with 4~20mA, this module is primarily used for continuous vibration monitoring and interlocking protection of power plant auxiliary equipment, pumps, fans, and small compressors.


I. Power Supply and Environmental Parameters


Operating Power Supply: 24VDC±10% DC power supply, with low overall power consumption;


Operating Temperature: -20℃~+70℃, Storage: -40℃~+85℃, meeting the harsh operating conditions of petrochemical and power plant cabinets, and possessing UL and CE certifications;


Installation Method: Standard DIN rail/panel embedded installation, compact half-height housing design.


II. Channel Hardware Configuration (2 Vibration + 1 Keyphase Speed, Three-Channel Architecture)


2 Universal Vibration Input Channels

Synchronous sampling design, compatible with three types of sensors: eddy current preamplifier (displacement), magnetoelectric velocity sensor, and piezoelectric accelerometer probe; configurable measurements: vibration peak-to-peak value, RMS value, peak value, frequency harmonics (1X/2X), segmented bandpass value; independent setting of warning and danger alarm settings for each channel; input compatible with Bentley 3300 series probe signals.


1 Dedicated Keyphase/Speed Input Channel

Compatible with magnetoelectric MPU vibration pickups, eddy current keyphase probes, and speed switches; speed range: eddy current 1~120000RPM, magnetoelectric 200~120000RPM, used for rotor synchronous sampling and power frequency harmonic analysis.


III. Output Terminal Definitions


3-channel BNC buffered output: 2 channels of raw vibration signals + 1 channel of key phase buffer, with short-circuit and EMI protection, for on-site waveform measurement using an external oscilloscope;


2-channel programmable SPDT relay dry contacts: single-pole double-throw contacts, 250VAC/250VDC withstand voltage, 6A AC breaking capacity, configurable for early warning, dangerous trip interlocking, alarm interlocking, remote reset, and channel bypass functions;


Communication Interface (2300/25 Core Features)

Standard configuration includes a Trendmaster SPA dedicated bus for direct connection to the Bently System1 classic online monitoring system, uploading vibration spectrum, trends, and fault events; includes Ethernet Modbus TCP and RS485 Modbus-RTU for data access to DCS/SCADA systems; no onboard native 4~20mA transmitter output (2300/20 exclusive).


IV. Built-in Functions

The panel features a small LCD display and operation buttons, allowing local viewing of real-time amplitude, speed, alarm codes, and hardware faults; Hierarchical parameter locking prevents accidental modification of protection settings on-site, and supports temporary bypass maintenance of a single channel without affecting monitoring of other measuring points; Event storage: It can save 50 time-stamped fault/over-limit records, including the over-limit time and real-time vibration values. Firmware can be upgraded online without hardware modifications; Full-channel fault diagnosis: Probe disconnection, preamplifier failure, power supply abnormality, and module self-test failure can all trigger independent alarms.


V. Applicable Equipment

This system is suitable for use in thermal power plants (induced draft fans/forced draft fans/circulating water pumps), chemical process pumps, air compressors, metallurgical fans, and small turbine auxiliary equipment. It serves as a low-cost online vibration protection solution for non-critical units, replacing older 1900 series monitoring instruments.
