Overview

The F650 is a high-performance digital device that integrates protection, control, automation and metering functions in an economical package and belongs to the 650 series of protection relays. It can be used to protect high/medium voltage feeders, bus couplers, transformers and capacitor banks, and is the first feeder relay with remote I/O function through CIO module.

It is used for the main protection or backup protection and control of feeders in grounding systems, high-impedance grounding or resonant grounding systems.

Functional characteristics

Rich protection functions: including two-level current and two-level delay, a trip without using current elements, and an internal arc current detection element; Equipped with concurrent inspection components; It has the instantaneous and delayed overcurrent functions of phase, neutral point, ground/sensitive ground, as well as the delayed overcurrent function of negative sequence current. It provides phase/auxiliary overvoltage, undervoltage, neutral point and negative sequence overvoltage protection.

Flexible setting of fixed values: Three separate protection fixed value setting groups can be stored in non-volatile memory, and multiple level values can be programmed to "approximately simulate" input, allowing different voltage values to be used in the same relay by setting threshold values.

High degree of automation: It integrates advanced automation functions, including powerful programmable logic, communication and SCADA capabilities, and can be seamlessly integrated with other Multilin relays to achieve customized protection and control solutions.

Strong communication capability: Supports multiple communication protocols, such as IEC 61850 protocol (supporting Version 2), IEC 60870-5-103, IEC 62439/PRP/HSR, IEEE 802.1d/RSTP, etc. It has serial and Ethernet interfaces, which can simplify system integration.

Friendly human-machine interface: Equipped with a graphical liquid crystal display (LCD), programmable buttons and convenient keys, it is easy to select the setting menu and sub-menu. The single-line graph for interval monitoring and control can be built on the LCD, making it convenient for users to operate and monitor.

Reasonable structural design: It adopts a modular withdrawable structure to reduce replacement time. Through functions such as IEEE 1588 (PTP), IRIG-B and SNTP time synchronization, event reporting, waveform capture and data logger, the troubleshooting time and maintenance cost are reduced.
