This model belongs to the ABB Panel800 series industrial IT HMI touchscreen, original order code 3BSE042238R2, model PP846A. It is natively compatible with the ABB 800xA distributed control system and is primarily used for on-site monitoring in power, chemical, water treatment, and paper production lines. Production has ceased, and only spare parts remain. The entire unit features a die-cast aluminum alloy casing and an embedded perforated panel mounting structure. It is a hybrid operation model combining buttons and resistive touch, with a row of customizable hard-function buttons integrated on the side.


II. Display and Touch Parameters

Screen Specifications: 10.4-inch CCFL backlit TFT color LCD screen, physical resolution 800×600, 64K colors, nominal backlight lifespan greater than 50,000 hours at 25 degrees Celsius; equipped with a four-wire resistive touch panel, supporting finger and industrial glove operation; the screen surface is resistant to common industrial oils and weak acids. The product can withstand storage temperatures from -20℃ to 70℃, and the relative humidity of the operating environment is 5% to 85%, operating under non-condensing conditions. It can operate continuously for extended periods in dusty, moisture-filled, and slightly oily workshops.

The opening dimensions conform to the Panel800 standard opening specifications, and the openings are compatible with PP845/PP846 models of the same size, facilitating on-site equipment replacement and modification.


VII. Software Configuration and Functionality The engineering screen configuration relies on ABB Panel Builder dedicated configuration software, developed based on the .NET open architecture. It supports multilingual screen editing, real-time trend curves, historical alarm archiving, recipe management, user hierarchical permission control, and operation audit log recording. It has a built-in vector library and industry-standard controls, supports dynamic screens, pop-up menus, and dynamic display of process values, and can remotely download programs and upload fault data via Ethernet.
