Function:
Signal conversion: As a connection device between SPACOM equipment and optical fiber SPA bus, it can convert the optical signal of SPA bus to RS 485, SPA (+5 V) or RS 232 signals to realize information interaction between different communication protocol devices.
Data communication guarantee: Built-in power module, when the SPACOM equipment is disconnected from the bus connection module for maintenance and other operations, it can ensure that the data communication through the optical fiber loop is not interrupted.
Interface configuration:
Equipped with a 9-pin D-type micro connector for RS 485 or SPA connection.
A 25-pin D-type connector can be ordered.
Two or five fiber optic connector sets for optical cables, the optical fiber link supports glass fiber cable, plastic core cable or a mixture of both.
Installation and connection: Installed in a suitable position in the equipment cabinet, its connection cable is connected to the D-type connector on the rear panel of the SPACOM device. It can be connected to any SPACOM device equipped with a D-type connector, and can also be connected to the main unit of the communication system, such as the substation-level units SACO 148D4 and SRIO 1000M.
Operation mode and diagnostic function:
It has two operation modes, master device and slave device, to adapt to different system connection requirements.
Equipped with diagnostic LED lights, the "power aux" light is on to indicate that the auxiliary voltage is provided by the external power supply and the power supply unit is working properly; the "power int" light is on to indicate that the auxiliary voltage is provided by the host device and the power supply unit is working properly; the "sc" light flashes at the data communication rate, which is convenient for monitoring the communication status.
Application scenario: It is used to connect the secondary equipment of the substation to the optical fiber SPA bus, which can divide the system into multiple optical fiber loops. Its optical repeater mode can also extend the communication distance and range to a certain extent. It is suitable for data communication connections between protection relays, alarm systems and other equipment in the substation.
