Core features and technical advantages
Measurement principle and performance
Eddy current effect: non-contact measurement of the gap between metal targets (such as shafts and gears) and the probe, output voltage signal (typical sensitivity 200mV/mil, linear range 0-2mm), error ≤1% FS.
Dynamic response: frequency response 0-10kHz, can capture high-frequency vibration signals of high-speed rotating equipment (such as turbines and compressors).
Structure and environmental adaptability
Shell material: AISI 304 stainless steel, protection grade IP65, temperature resistance -30℃~+177℃, resistant to oil mist, dust and mechanical shock (impact resistance 50g, 11ms).
Cable design: 1.0m shielded cable, the outer layer is made of weather-resistant PVC material, anti-electromagnetic interference (EMI), can be used with 330130 series extension cable (up to 30 meters).
Application scenarios of "05" certification
Applicable to hazardous environments with explosive gases (such as methane and propane) such as petrochemical, natural gas, and coal mines, and comply with the following standards:
CSA C22.2 No. 25.2 (Canadian explosion-proof);
ATEX Directive 2014/34/EU (European explosion-proof);
IECEx System for Certification to IEC Standards (International Electrotechnical Commission explosion-proof).
Application scenarios of long shell (4.8 inches)
Deep hole installation requirements:
When the internal countersunk hole depth of the equipment bearing seat is large, a long shell probe is required for in-depth measurement (such as large generator bearing clearance monitoring).
Long-distance gap compensation:
When the installation position is far away from the metal surface to be measured, the long shell can shorten the actual gap between the probe tip and the target object to avoid exceeding the linear measurement range.
Special mechanical structure adaptation:
Applicable to scenarios such as aircraft engines and ship turbines where the space is compact but deep monitoring is required to reduce measurement errors caused by installation space limitations.
Key points for system integration and installation
Matching of matching components
Must be used with a 3300 series proximitor (such as 330180-90-00), and the total electrical length (probe + extension cable) must be ≤30 meters, otherwise signal attenuation will cause measurement distortion.
If an extension cable is required, select a 330130 model of the same series (such as 330130-040-00, 4-meter extension cable), and ensure that the connector type (D position "02") matches.
Installation gap calibration
It is recommended to set the initial installation gap to 1.0mm (midpoint of the linear range), and use a dedicated calibration tool (such as Bently Nevada 3300 System Probe Calibrator) to verify the voltage output (corresponding to about -10Vdc).
The probe must be perpendicular to the metal surface to be measured (deviation ≤5°) to avoid nonlinear errors caused by angle tilt.
Explosion-proof environment compliance
During installation, it is necessary to confirm the hazardous area level on site (such as Ex ia IIB T4 for Zone 0) and ensure that the wiring complies with explosion-proof specifications (such as using explosion-proof junction boxes, cable glands must meet IP66 protection).
