Bently Nevada's 149369-01 is an enhanced phase detector module that plays an important role in industrial equipment monitoring systems. Here is a detailed introduction:

Functional Features

Signal conversion and transmission: This is a half-height, dual-channel module that receives input signals from proximity probes or magnetic sensors and converts these signals into digital keyphase signals to indicate when the keyphase mark on the shaft is aligned with the keyphase sensor, thereby providing the keyphase signal to the monitor module in the 3500 rack.

Precise measurement: Event pulses (i.e., keyphase signals) generated once or multiple times per revolution of a rotating shaft or gear can be used to accurately detect timing, allowing the 3500 monitoring module and external diagnostic tools to measure shaft speed and vector characteristics such as 1X vibration amplitude and phase.

Compatibility and Upgradeability: While maintaining full backward compatibility with existing Keyphasor modules for legacy systems in form, fit and function, the revised 149369-01 module completely replaces the Keyphasor module PWA 125792-01 for easy system upgrades.

Redundancy Support: For Triple Modular Redundancy (TMR) applications, when the system requires a Keyphasor input, the 3500 system should use two Keyphasor modules, which operate in parallel to provide primary and secondary Keyphasor signals to other modules in the rack to improve system reliability.

Other Features: Features such as creating once-per-turn event signals from multiple-per-turn event inputs, field-upgradeable firmware, and asset management data reporting also enhance the product's usefulness.

Technical Specifications

Input Signal Range: The input signal range is +0.8V to 21.0V for non-isolated I/O modules and +5V to -11V for isolated I/O modules.

Sensor power supply: The power supply of the key phase sensor is - 24Vdc, maximum 40mA per channel.

Buffer output impedance: The buffered key phase output on the front and back of the rack has a maximum output impedance of 504 ohms.

Working environment: Storage temperature is - 40 degrees Celsius to + 85 degrees Celsius, humidity is 95%, non-condensing.

Application scenario: This module is mainly used in occasions where rotating mechanical equipment needs to be accurately monitored and protected. It is common in industries such as power, petrochemicals, metallurgy, and papermaking. Through accurate measurement and analysis of parameters such as shaft speed and vibration phase, it helps maintenance personnel to understand the operating status of the equipment in a timely manner, discover potential faults in advance, achieve preventive maintenance, and ensure the safe and stable operation of the equipment.
