ABB REF615C_E HCFFAEAGABC2BAA11E is a feeder protection and measurement control device, which belongs to the 615 product series in the ABB Relion® product family. It has the following features and functions:

Wide application scenarios: It is specially used to protect, control, measure and monitor public and industrial distribution systems. It can adapt to both neutral point ungrounded power grids and neutral point resistance or impedance grounded power grids. It can also be used for ring mesh distribution networks or radial network protection, and can protect power grids containing multiple feeds and distributed generation.

Rich protection functions: It provides directional and non-directional overcurrent, thermal overload protection, and directional and non-directional ground fault protection. It also has sensitive ground fault protection, phase loss protection, instantaneous/intermittent ground fault protection, overvoltage and undervoltage protection, residual overvoltage protection, positive sequence undervoltage and negative sequence overvoltage protection, etc. Some standard configurations also provide frequency protection, including overfrequency, underfrequency and frequency change rate protection.

Accurate fault location: With optional advanced and fast short-circuit and ground fault location functions, the fault location can be quickly determined, which facilitates the operation and maintenance personnel to handle the fault in time and reduce the power outage time.

Powerful communication capability: Supports multiple communication protocols, including IEC61850 (including IEC 61850-9-2 LE), Parallel Redundancy Protocol (PRP), High Availability Seamless Redundancy Protocol (HSR), DNP3, IEC 60870-5-103 and Modbus®, etc. Through the SPA-ZC 302 protocol adapter, it can also support Profitbus DPV1 protocol, which is convenient for communication and integration with other devices and systems.

Flexible and diverse configuration: It has a variety of standard configurations, which can be modified through the signal matrix or graphical configuration function of the protection and measurement and control device management tool PCM600. PCM600 also supports the creation of multi-layer logic functions using logic elements such as timers and triggers, and can combine protection functions with logic function blocks to meet different application needs of users.

Designed for ease of use: The pluggable design is easy to install and test quickly. The large LCD screen with single-line diagram display can be accessed locally or through an easy-to-connect and browse human-machine interface (HMI), making it convenient to operate and view information.
