ABB's MSR04XI is a serial communication module, mainly used to achieve serial communication between devices in industrial automation systems. The following is a detailed introduction:
Functional features:
Provide standard serial interface: Provide serial interface between SC300E environment and various remote devices that comply with standard RS232-C, which can meet the communication needs between different devices.
Support system communication: At least one module is required in the system and installed in slot 10 of the main rack to achieve communication between the system processor and the workstation. The workstation link can be used to load application software and monitor ladder diagrams and diagnostic functions, using port 0 of the module.
Fault-tolerant: The circuit adopts triple and voting procedures to make the module have single fault tolerance, which improves the reliability and stability of the system.
Rich communication connections: The front panel has four identical ports (ports 0 to 3) for communication connections, which are repeated on the field connector (J2) at the rear, and there is a fifth port for diagnostic purposes only.
Support hot repair: The module is compatible with "single slot hot repair". There is a switch on the front panel to request to take the module offline, which is convenient for maintenance and repair without affecting the overall operation of the system.
Technical parameters:
Communication port: Ports 0 to 3 are RS232 interfaces, the baud rate can be selected as 9600 or 19200 baud, and ports 2 and 3 must be set to the same baud rate, and the isolation voltage between ports is 1kV.
Module power consumption: 3.5W.
Dimensions: 400 (9U) high × 397 long × 28 wide (mm), that is, 15.75 high × 15.63 long × 1.1 wide (inches).
Weight: 1.3kg.
Working environment: In the Triguard system, the ambient temperature measured at the hottest point shall not exceed 60 degrees Celsius, and it has a certain EMC/RFI immunity and vibration/shock resistance, and can adapt to more complex industrial electromagnetic and mechanical environments.
