Overview: REJ603 is a member of the 605 product series in the ABB Relion® product family. 

It is applied in public utilities and industrial fields, mainly providing selective feeder short-circuit protection and grounding protection for secondary distribution networks and small transformers. 

It is a self-powered digital feeder protection relay that does not require an external auxiliary power supply. It is suitable for situations where auxiliary power supply is unavailable or cannot be guaranteed, such as in remote areas. 

This device is mainly used in ring main units and secondary distribution switchgear in distribution networks.

Functional characteristics

Protection functions: It includes non-directional overcurrent, grounding, overload protection, inrush current monitoring, remote tripping and other functions, and can be used for cable or transformer feeders in grounded, 

resistance-grounded or ungrounded systems.

Signal board and reset: Built-in manual reset motor signal board for convenient indication and reset of fault signals.

Data reading and power supply: Interference and event records can be read through the USB interface on the front panel, and power can also be drawn from the USB port to avoid the use of built-in batteries. 

Event and fault information can be stored even when the current transformer power supply is unavailable.

Convenient debugging: Quick debugging can be carried out through selective test protection function, secondary signal and communication function.

Fault analysis: Equipped with event log/interference record function, which is conducive to detailed fault analysis.

Self-monitoring: It is equipped with extensive hardware and software self-monitoring functions to ensure the reliable operation of the relay.

Dimensions: Frame width 132.5mm, frame height 167.0mm; The width of the shell is 121.5mm, the height of the shell is 137.0mm, and the depth of the shell is 182.5mm.

Operating temperature range: -25℃ to + 55℃, short-term service temperature range: -40 ℃ to + 85℃ (less than 16 hours), display screen visibility range: -20 ℃ to + 70℃.

Rated voltage: For the optional binary input with external power supply function, the rated voltage is 24-240V AC (50 and 60Hz), 24-240V DC. 

The working range is 85-110% of the rated voltage for AC (20.4-264V AC) and 80-120% of the rated voltage for DC (19.2-288V DC).

Electromagnetic compatibility: Complies with relevant standards such as IEC 60255-26 and IEC 61000-4-4, and can withstand fast transient interference tests at 4kV and 5.0kHz.

Insulation test: In compliance with the IEC 60255-27 standard, it can withstand dielectric tests at 2kV, 50Hz for 1 minute. For some ports, the test voltage is 0.5kV, 50Hz for 1 minute.

Product versions: There are versions such as 1.5 and 3.0. Among them, version 3.0 supports conventional current transformers and has more complete functions, such as interference recording function, etc.

Application scenarios: It is suitable for secondary power distribution networks in various industries and public utilities, 

especially for places where reliable external auxiliary power cannot be provided, such as outdoor remote power distribution facilities and power supply systems in small industrial plants. 

It can be used to protect cable feeders and transformer feeders, and can work reliably in grounded systems, resistance grounded systems or ungrounded systems.
